“Our terrier used to shake in the parking lot. Now she drags us to the door, because the front desk keeps cheese behind the counter.”
“Dr. Patel called me at 9pm on a Sunday with lab results that could easily have sat until Monday morning. That is who they are.”
“They gave us the comfort room for two hours and never once looked at the clock. I will never take an animal anywhere else.”
For urgent problems, yes, until 11:30 pm. We triage by severity, so a stable itchy ear may wait behind a breathing emergency — call ahead and we will tell you honestly how busy we are.
For exams, always. For sedated procedures we ask you to wait outside the treatment area, but you can come back in for recovery.
The exam fee is $78 and covers the veterinarian’s time. Anything beyond that is estimated in writing and approved by you before we do it.
Rabbits, guinea pigs and rats, yes. Birds and reptiles we refer to an exotics practice in North Austin.
